Having just read the lead article in the current issue of the Northside People,
I can be proud I didn't vote for this pleb.
Are people really that stupid that they would allow a small child to wander around unsupervised in a public park, let alone one with water?
For years I have gone to both Stephens Green and St. Anne’s Pk without ever witnessing an unattended small child drowning in the un-fenced lakes. Perhaps I was just unaware of how the bottoms of these lakes are lined with the bones of children whose parents should have been watching them...
Should we really ruin the aesthetics of a €20m park so that people, who are either too stupid or too lazy to look after their kids while in a park, can allow their unsupervised brats to run free? Leave it open and hopefully some of the little feckers will fall in, a lesson hard learned in my book.
